Use

The Reiki treatment is a very simple process. The recipient either lies down or sits in a chair and does not need to remove any clothing. The practitioner gently places their hands over the recipient in a sequence of positions which cover the whole body. A a treatment usually takes 1 to 1 and a half hours, each position held for several minutes.

Reiki is a holistic healing method so the whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms.

Learning Reiki

Reiki is a simple technique to learn. The ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This transferrance is called an “attunement” and is given by a Reiki master. The attunement allows the student to tap into the “life force energy”. Reiki is not concerned with any belief system so anyone can receive or learn the practice of Reiki.
